Dr bell’s show and tell

Sunday February 18TH, 2024 print lecture and viewing 2PM

Dr. Robert Bell is a print collector and patron to New Mexico artists.
For over 50 years he has sought out original graphics, mostly done between 1500 and 1900, including woodcuts, engravings, etchings, lithographs, and silkscreens. These include many works by Durer, Rembrandt, Goya, Kollwitz, Whistler, plus a thousand others.
Dr. Bell likes to arrange groups of his prints by themes, this time around, Dr Bell will be sharing his collection of Kollwitz works with us – to sit around a long table while he passes them around and comments on the qualities of the images.

The prints are truly dynamic and stunning, Kollwitz’s strong line work and command of the medium is simply awe inspiring. Her etchings are especially compelling in their depth and composure.

This will be an hour-ish long sit down lecture, please bring a chair if you can.

This presentation is free.

Arranged by Eli Levin and Dr. Robert Bell.
