This will be the second incarnation of Personnage, the debut of the multimedia installation Personnage (ciné) and the culmination of two years of research.
Personnage investigates belonging, transformational bodyscapes, and the ways they define and inform our identity.
Works will include marble, bronze, gesso, 16mm film, light, and sound.

It’s that time of year again, help celebrate the 6th year of Studio Barreto in New Mexico, easily my favorite studio thus far. Several projects will be on display and I’ll be doing some carving and finish work throughout the weekend.

Curated and hosted by Taos Sculptor TJ Mabrey, she recognized a kinship of form and a common creative approach, as all are direct carvers. Several also further develop the craft by working as educators or mentors, an important lineage in what is often a solitary endeavor. We all stand on the shoulders of those who showed us how to swing the hammer.
